ABOUT UMC
We gather every Sunday morning at 10:00 am for worship and observe Communion on the first Sunday of each month. Join us for fellowship following service where we gather and share in light fare. Our Chancel Choir and Handbell Choir lead us as we sing with joy to the Lord. During worship, nursery is provided for infants and toddlers. Children participate in the opening of worship, a sermon for children then attend age appropriate Sunday school classes, where they worship, pray, learn Bible stories, and enact dramas. We also offer weekly Bible studies.
We operate a preschool for children 18 months - 5 years old. Our facility houses other Christian congregations including The Jesus Family Tamil, the Haitian American Center of the New Jerusalem Church and the Pentecostal Ebenezer Church.
Our facility hosts a variety of neighborhood groups including Haitian American Christian Center of New Jerusalem Church, Intempo, Jesus Family Ministry Church and the Troupers Light Opera.

We are affiliated with the United Church of Christ and the Connecticut Conference of the United Church of Christ.
SUNDAY WORSHIP
You can attend the 10:00 am service in person. Join us for Fellowship, where you’ll find juice, coffee and light fare, in the library immediately following service.
Sunday School begins immediately following the children’s message. .

At our church you receive a friendly welcome and inspiration to grow in learning, celebrating, and sharing Christ’s love. We offer to you our friendship along the journey of trusting and following Jesus. Our church is a small congregation providing you with an intimate setting where becoming part of the family comes very easily. It won’t take long for you to get know us. Our congregation is diverse and accepting of all faiths. We provide you with many opportunities to get involved in your community. Come as you are as our environment is very casual, no need to wear your Sunday best.
UNION MEMORIAL PRESCHOOL
Union Memorial Preschool creates a friendly, social atmosphere where a child’s feeling of self-respect and self-confidence is developed, as well as respect and consideration for others. Our program now uses the British Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS) which emphasizes individualized learning through play and exploration both indoors and outdoors. Children experience a wide range of rich learning experiences based on the goals set out in the EYFS. Each child’s progress is recorded throughout the year with regular feedback to parents.

Pastor`s Word
We believe it's important to have a new members class at every church. These classes are supposed to be designed to give you a greater understanding of the principles, scriptural and spiritual guidelines that a community follows.
